#DevilsProphet      An Indie & Private portrayal of  Astor  from Age of Calamity, Legend of Zelda. Canon Divergent & Headcanon Based. Multiship & Multiverse friendly.     written by  CC  (she/her, 30+)

Mun

Mun is 30+ years old & low activity    I'm a stay-at-home mom to a toddler and create original work in my free time, so I may hop in and out of Tumblrland. You can call me CC!  This blog is mutuals only.   I only write threads with mutuals for my own sanity. For any blog, canon or not, I am considered selective. I’ll always take a look at your writing. If I can see the potential for our muses to interact, I’ll likely follow you! That said, please note that I do not feel comfortable writing with self-inserts.  I like a relaxed and respectful dash.    If I see a lot of call out posts, vague blogging, or otherwise negative posts, I may not follow or unfollow. This includes following basic RP etiquette such as no dragging others interpretations or claiming your interpretations are superior and/or canon when there is no official claim for it. I will soft block so that you unfollow me as well.  Mun does not equal muse.    Astor may come across as harsh or rude either outwardly or in his narrative, but it’s just his character! I promise you that I, the mun, am so happy to be writing with you!  I am unlikely to follow:.   Animal-centric blogs (in which the characters are talking/humanoid animals such as MLP or Loony Toons), Pokémon blogs, or fandoms catered to young children (such as Bluey, Kids Next Door, Phineas and Ferb, etc.) I have nothing against them, I just don’t have much interest in writing in those kind of universes.

Rules

This is a multi-ship, multi-verse blog.    Assume that your Universe is separate from any threads I have with others unless we have agreed otherwise!  Formatting is simple & icons optional.   I will be using edited manga icons of Suguru Geto from Jujutsu Kaisen to represent Astor, though not all replies will necessarily include an icon.  I am a literate roleplayer.    I tend to write novella style. For longer posts I use the tag “long post cw”, so please block that tag if you don’t want long posts on your dash! That said, I never expect you to match length. So long as we are both keeping the story moving, I’m happy!  I RP based on inspiration.    Replies may be out of order. This does not mean I don’t appreciate or love any and all threads that I am a part of, so please do not take it personally.  Actions have consequences.   Astor is a powerful villain and should be treated accordingly. My muse will never kill yours without prior discussion, so if a situation forces Astor into that being the only in-character response, I likely just won’t respond unless it is something we’ve plotted beforehand.  Replies can get delayed a great deal.   Sometimes I just can’t get to it, my inspiration is elsewhere, or we just have multiple threads together. That does not mean you need to change your reply (or that I would even know how to advise you to change it!) but if delayed replies bother you a great deal, I am likely not the blog for you. Likewise, I accept late replies by any amount, even a year!  Please keep reader knowledge and character knowledge separate   Astor is a rather skilled liar and manipulator, and I often show his true thoughts and feelings in his narrative. That said, please keep in mind that characters only know what Astor outwardly says or shows them.  I am sensitive to content including:   Graphic depictions of rape or child abuse. As a rape survivor myself, the “rape made this character stronger” trope also upsets me. If this is in your character's background, you don’t have to avoid mentioning it necessarily, just don’t go into graphic detail. Thank you!

Romance

Romance is chemistry-based vs planned.    If the characters hit it off, great! Let’s not force it though, eh? I am, however, open to discussing possibilities between muses.  Unrequited feelings are allowed.   Unrequited feelings happen and make for some nice writing material! If it in any way makes you uncomfortable, however, the subject will be dropped from all threads.  Ships are always age appropriate.    Astor is an adult at 35 years old, and will only be shipped with other adults. He does not now nor will ever have any romantic or sexual attraction to BOTW'S Princess Zelda, who is 16/17 at the time he meets her. The same applies to BOTW Link. Other variations are up for grabs, however!  NSFW requires plotting.    I don’t often write NSFW unless it plays a role in relationship dynamics, plots, etc. For example, Astor will often use sex for manipulation. NSFW content will be moved to my side blog, ForeseenPleasure.

PROPHET OF DOOM

Astor grew up in the kingdom of Hyrule but has no great love for its land, people, or Goddesses—though, in fairness, he has no great love for anyone aside from himself. To put it bluntly, he is a manipulative and power-hungry narcissist. As such, he can be quite charismatic and is very adept at reading people, gauging their wants and fears with fearsome accuracy, a talent which he will always use to his advantage. Astor severely lacks empathy and is not bothered by violence, though he prefers to keep his own hands clean. It should be noted that he is not the same prophet to warn the King of Calamity Ganon.Astor gained his talent for sorcery through training, perseverance, and a bit of haggling with a certain horned statue. It was through the Horned God that Astor learned of Calamity Ganon's true origins as the Demon King and just how much power He possesses. Yet there he was, poor God, trapped and suffering and in need of aid—such opportunity for one such as Astor! And what does the sorcerer get out of so much quality service? Power, for the most part, albeit in a borrowed form. Perhaps, though, a part of him merely wishes to have a different world, one in which the slow farm folk and the irritating rich learn their proper place at his feet. And as his power grows, why, who knows—even a Demon King can lose His crown if He's not careful.⫷ FROM FARM BOY TO SEER ⫸Astor is from Deya Village, where he remained until he was 19. In searching for a way to enhance his powers of sight, Astor comes across the Horned God, who offers him the ability to see into the past and future as well as a secret to unlock a secret that could bring a new world order. In exchange, he had to sacrifice the person he loved most: his younger brother, Geole. Astor took the deal.He returned home to deliver the news so that his parents wouldn’t search for them and make a ruckus. Astor’s mother was heartbroken and threatened to kill him multiple times but ultimately couldn't bring herself to do it. His father, whom Astor takes after most, had always suspected that his son might follow in his footsteps of destruction but hadn't expected something of this level. He tells Astor to leave and never return in the hopes that his son would reinvent himself elsewhere, just as he once did.Astor left Deya Village for good and sought out the Cult of Ganon, revealed to him by the Horned Demon. He slept with an older woman to gain a higher position of power and continued using manipulation/charm to become their leader in his mid-20s. During this time, he met a fortune teller named Mauva, with whom he became involved. She taught him card reading and how to present himself as a prophet rather than a "farm boy," as she often called him. After a reading predicts her death, she leaves Astor and the Cult of Ganon. Astor still has a robe she gifted him upon completing his card training.⫷ CREATING A NEW WORLD ⫸The steps to reviving Calamity Ganon included gathering ancient Sheikah tech to make a power channeling orb/crystal, establishing new allies across the regions and sea for man-power and financial aid, creating a self-replenishing treasury, and ensuring that his cult was in the right place at the right time to obtain a guardian to serve as the Harbinger.Astor bid his time for the right moment until he was 34, when the moment arrived to gain direct access to Calamity Ganon. A ceremony was arranged in which the other top members of the Cult were able to see the same future that Astor was privy to—directly after which their lives were sacrificed to form a connection between himself and Calamity Ganon (something which Astor had already foreseen happening.)Another year passed as he continued setting certain objectives into motion. His abilities allowed him to track down the Yiga Clan and align himself with them to take advantage of their Sheikah heritage/knowledge/souls. His preferred timeline was heavily dependent on their involvement, and while there were timelines in which the Yiga survived, he always knew their sacrifice was a possibility. Finally, the Promised Day drew near, and Astor carefully tracked each branch of time and variation to ensure nothing derailed from his preferred timeline (in which he brings forth Calamity Ganon and, pending on the branch variation, either serves as the right hand/puppeteer to a man or acts as the controlling force of pure, unthinking malice. Either ultimately works for him.)⫷ HIS FATE ⫸In his default timeline, Astor fails, unable to foresee his demise, and is ultimately consumed by Calamity Ganon. Astor’s father goes on to aid the Princess and Champions in finding parts to restore Terrako using his abilities. In a timeline in which Astor succeeds, he serves Lord Ganondorf in a new world order with a new mission: tracking down the mysteriously missing Triforce to bring about true destruction and the return of the Three Golden Goddesses to enact The Revenge of Demise.

TID BITS  • Astor is an insomniac and has been since he was eight years old. He averages about 4 hours a night, though sometimes he'll get lucky and manage 6 hours (though rarely consistently.) He's a very light sleeper and tends to wake up throughout what sleep he does manage to get.• He likes to cook. His style would be considered elegant, akin to fine dining.• Was a good looking man in his youth. Keeping in mind that he was from a village, he had a lot of manual labor that was part of day to day life. As such, his skin had a healthy glaze of sun and he even had some muscles on that lean form of his. He was never jacked, but then, he didn’t need to be.• Has quite a nice voice, which also extends to his singing voice. He’s no professional, but it has a nice timbre to it. Sometimes, you might catch him singing softly to himself while his mind is elsewhere, usually little catchy, repetitive tunes he’s heard in his travels.• His family farm mainly focused on meat stock. He knows how to kill, gut, and prepare typical common farm animals such as pigs, cows, and chickens.• He killed two older boys while defending his younger brother at the age of 14• He is not particularly a "kid-person," but he has standards regarding them being harmed. While he's not above letting them be collateral damage, he won't actively seek their harm and will step in if someone else is actively harming them, such as when he overdosed a member of his cult who was using children for pleasure.• In verses in which Astor succeeds in Calamity's revival, Lord Ganondorf elects to keep him on his staff. He alters the malice he has access to, weakening his power but taking away the damaging effects on his body. Astor must train to increase his power again.
